Fracture Treatment

Updated: May 2021

I treat fractures of the lower leg, ankle and foot bones. As a registered Podiatrist I can refer you for an X-ray or MRI and if required consult with your GP to refer you for a CT if required.

I can assess if your fracture is stable or unstable. Stable fractures can usually be managed in a moon boot. Inform Podiatry stocks a range of moon boot sizes and styles with  and without adjustable air pockets depending on your assessed requirements.

I also provide post moon boot or post immobilisation rehab to help improve muscle strength and joint range of motion to get you back to pre injury activity as soon as possible.

Unstable fractures are referred via your GP to a Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon for further assessment and treatment.
